What the claims cover, in plain language
Claim 1 - A financial bill box with a calendar, comprising a box body having four sides and a bottom surface. On the opposite sides in the width direction, a month turntable engraved with twelve month numbers is provided, with a month indicator line above it. Several freely movable partitions are arranged inside the box body, and a date indicating device is set on each partition.
Claim 2 - The date indicating device includes a hollow rectangular bar, whose lower edge is opened with several date slots for marking different dates. A buckle for selecting a date is provided in the date slot.
Claim 3 - Slide rails are provided on the opposite sides of the box body in the length direction. The slide rails can be detached from and connected to the box body. Both sides of the partition have a ring connected to the slide rail, set on it to slide freely. Both sides also have sliding hooks engaging the upper edge of the opposite side in the length direction, sliding freely along it.
Claim 4 - The sliding hook is set under the ring.
Claim 5 - A hollow round hole is opened in the center of the month turntable.
This is a simplified reading for orientation only. The legal scope is defined by the exact claim wording in the official Chinese document.
What this means for US production
This patent was filed only in China and is now lapsed (terminated for non-payment of annual fees, recorded 2026-04-21), so it no longer restricts anyone in China either. It has no US or other foreign counterpart.
Two points to settle early:
- Other patents may exist. Office organizers and document storage boxes with built-in indexing features are produced by many stationery companies. While no foreign patents cite this specific document, a freedom-to-operate (FTO) review covering sliding partition mechanisms and integrated calendar dials in the filing-supplies category is recommended before tooling.
- Material selection for the slide rails. The patent states the slide rails can be detached and connected to the box body. The retention mechanism (snap-fit, screws or friction pins) must be defined during engineering to ensure the rails stay secure when the box is carried with documents inside.
Customization and manufacturing
What can be customized
| Area | Options |
|---|---|
| Box dimensions | Width, length and depth to fit specific receipt sizes or regional paper formats |
| Materials | Injection-molded plastic (PP, ABS), sheet metal, or wood/MDF |
| Turntable style | Printed numbers, embossed/engraved digits, or dual-language markings |
| Date slots | Number of slots (e.g., 1-31) and buckle shape to match branding |
| Rail attachment | Snap-on, screw-fixed or press-fit slide rails |
| Color and finish | Solid colors, matte/gloss textures, or custom brand printing |
| Lid option | Open top as described, or addition of a hinged/removable lid |
Things to plan for (US market)
- CPSC general consumer product rules - if marketed for home office use, standard physical and mechanical safety expectations apply to avoid sharp edges on metal or hard plastic parts.
- California Proposition 65 - plastics, paints and metal finishes must be screened for listed chemicals if sold in California.
- ASTM D4169 / ISTA packaging tests - shipping tests for the finished boxed product to prevent damage to the slide rails and turntables during transit.
How a project runs
- Inquiry - target dimensions, material preference, quantity and market channel.
- Design - CAD modeling of the box body, turntable detent mechanism, partition profile, slide rail interface and date buckle.
- Prototype - 3D-printed or CNC-machined samples to verify partition sliding action, turntable rotation and buckle engagement.
- Pilot run - small injection-molding or stamping batch for assembly testing, drop testing and load testing with paper weights.
- Production - mold fabrication, mass molding/stamping, printing or engraving, assembly and packing.
Quantities & timeline
The box body requires a large injection mold or sheet-metal forming die depending on the chosen material. The month turntable, slide rails, partitions and buckles each need their own tooling. Engraving the twelve month numbers and the date slots adds a secondary machining or mold-texturing step. Assembly involves fitting the rings and hooks to the partitions and snapping the rails into the box sides. Send us your target dimensions, material preference, order quantity and any branding requirements and we will reply with options.
