Patent CN206077485U
Updated October 24, 2026Bike Phone Holder with Built-In Flashlight Clamp
Riders who navigate by phone at night end up with two mounts on the handlebar: one for the phone, one for the light. This holder combines them. A single handlebar clamp carries a movable arm; on top, a phone cradle with side grips clicks onto a snap plate, and below the arm a second, hinged clamp holds an ordinary flashlight, lined with silicone so it does not slip or rattle. Both point the same way the rider is looking, and the whole set comes off the bar by undoing one bolt.

The problem
Phones have become the bike computer: navigation, ride tracking, delivery apps. At dusk or at night the rider also needs a front light, and handlebar space is short - especially on city bikes, folding bikes and scooters with a bell, brake levers and a shifter already there. Two separate mounts take space, need two sets of tools and often point in slightly different directions. The patent combines the phone mount and a flashlight holder in one unit.
The solution
The patent builds both holders onto one arm:
- A handlebar clamp (4) of two hinged parts closes around the bar with a bolt and nut and a rubber pad inside.
- A movable arm (3) is bolted to the clamp, so it can be set at an angle.
- On top of the arm, a snap plate (2) carries the phone cradle (1). The cradle has side grips for the phone and clicks into the plate’s buckle.
- Under the arm, a connector (5) and a flashlight arm (6) carry a flashlight clamp (7), riveted to the arm and lined with anti-slip silicone plugs.

Who it is for
- Bike and scooter accessory brands wanting a mount that adds a clear second function at a low added cost.
- Delivery and courier fleets whose riders work after dark with a phone on the bar all shift.
- E-bike and e-scooter makers looking for an accessory to bundle with commuter models.
- Outdoor and camping retailers that already sell flashlights and want a matching handlebar holder.
How it works
The main parts

| No. | Part | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Phone cradle | Holds the phone; side grips; snaps onto the plate. |
| 2 | Snap plate | Fixed to the arm with a screw; has the buckle for the cradle. |
| 3 | Movable arm | Joins everything; bolted to the handlebar clamp at an adjustable angle. |
| 4 | Handlebar clamp | Two parts joined by a hinge pin and closed by a bolt; rubber pad inside. |
| 5 | Connector | Screwed under the arm; carries the flashlight arm. |
| 6 | Flashlight arm | Bolted to the connector so the light can be aimed. |
| 7 | Flashlight clamp | Riveted to its arm; lined with anti-slip silicone plugs. |
Fitting and using it
- Open the handlebar clamp, place it around the bar and close it with the bolt.
- Set the arm angle and tighten the bolt between arm and clamp.
- Clip the flashlight into the lower clamp and aim it with the flashlight arm.
- Put the phone in the cradle and click the cradle onto the snap plate.
- At the end of the ride, unclip the phone and take the flashlight; the mount stays on the bike.
Applications
City commuting after dark
Navigation and a front light from one tidy mount, set up once.
Food delivery and courier riders
The phone shows orders and maps while the light covers poorly lit streets and building entrances.
Bike touring and gravel rides
A rider can carry a powerful separate flashlight that doubles as a camp light, instead of a fixed bike lamp.
Folding bikes and e-scooters
Short handlebars have little room; one mount saves space.
Rental and shared fleets
Operators can fit one holder to each bike and let riders bring their own phone and light.
Where it is less suitable
- Rough mountain-bike trails - heavy vibration calls for a tested, locking phone mount; a clip cradle and a flashlight hung below the bar may loosen.
- Riders who need a road-legal light setup - a handheld flashlight is not a substitute for a proper bicycle headlight with the beam pattern many regions expect.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of flashlight does it hold?
The patent shows a round clamp lined with anti-slip silicone plugs, made for a common cylindrical flashlight. The clamp diameter range is set in design; we can also design a matching LED light that fits it exactly.
Which phones fit?
The cradle grips the phone at both sides. The size range - including phones in cases - is set in design and checked on samples.
How does it attach to the handlebar?
A two-part clamp opens on a hinge pin, goes around the bar and closes with a bolt and nut, with a rubber pad inside to protect the bar and stop it turning. Clamp sizes for road, mountain and scooter bars can be offered.
Can the phone and the light be aimed separately?
In the patent the phone sits on the movable arm and the flashlight on its own arm bolted under it, so the light can be set at a different angle from the phone. Finer adjustment can be added with ball joints.
Does the phone come off quickly?
Yes. The cradle clicks onto a buckle on the snap plate, so the rider can take the phone and cradle and leave the mount on the bike.
Is it strong enough for rough roads?
City and touring riding is the target. Retention under vibration is tested on samples; for off-road use we would add a positive lock to the cradle.
Can this design be made and sold in the US?
The patent was filed only in China and has expired, so it does not restrict the design in the US or in China. Bike phone mounts are covered by many US patents - see Patent & Production - so we recommend a freedom-to-operate check before volume production.
