What the claims cover, in plain language
Claim 1 - a storage bed with a headboard, frame and deck, and a lifting assembly on each long side: a first link fixed to the deck, then a second and third link hinged in sequence, with the third link hinged to a mounting bracket on the frame. A fourth link runs from the first link back to the bracket, sharing the third link’s pivot. The third link is longer than the fourth, and the second link is shorter than the other three.
Claim 2 - the third link has a waist-shaped slot that rides on a stop post on the bracket. Claim 3 - a support seat on the bracket carries the end of the third link when the deck is down. Claim 4 - a gas spring is hinged between the bracket and the second link. Claim 5 - a hook seat, hook base and vertical hook rod between the frame and the deck at the end away from the headboard. Claims 6-7 - a connecting bar between the two third links, and reinforcing ribs on the bracket.

What this means for US production
This patent was filed only in China and has lapsed, so it no longer restricts anyone in China either. It has no US or other foreign counterpart.
Two points to settle early:
- Other patents may exist. Bed-lift mechanisms are a crowded field: hardware makers and furniture brands hold US patents on gas-spring lift fittings and ottoman-bed linkages. A freedom-to-operate (FTO) review of the final linkage geometry by a US patent attorney should come before tooling.
- The geometry is the product. The smooth path and balanced open position depend on link lengths, pivot positions and gas-spring force, which must be tuned for each bed size and mattress weight.

- Mattress flammability (16 CFR 1632 / 1633) - applies if the bed is sold together with a mattress.
- Gas springs - specify springs from a supplier with force and cycle test data; include a warning label on stored energy and safe replacement.
- Pinch points and entrapment - the deck closing on hands or a child climbing into the storage space are the real hazards; plan a closing damper or label and test with the target mattress weight.
